Certain data is essential to ensure the basic functionality of Flylooping: flight search, ticket booking and purchase, insurance, etc.
RETENTION PERIOD OF PERSONAL DATA
FLYLOOPING retains personal data for as long as Users have an active Account.
Upon a formal request from a user to close their account, no further commercial communication will be sent, and the account will be closed.
If the user remains inactive for 3 years, FLYLOOPING may close the account.
In accordance with regulations, contractual documents concerning FLYLOOPING’s clients will be kept for 5 years, and accounting and tax data for 10 years.
DATA COLLECTED
In the course of its normal activity, FLYLOOPING may share personal data with several recipients, including service providers and partners (e.g., airlines, hosting providers, insurers, payment providers used on our Platform, promotional mailing services).
Personal data collected directly from you is categorized as follows:

Personal and booking information such as first and last name, gender, date of birth, email, phone number, reservation number, travel itinerary, etc.

Account information such as login credentials, including email address, and account settings.

Social media information: if the user chooses to link their FLYLOOPING account to a social media account, FLYLOOPING may collect personal details such as name, age, gender, profile picture, and other social network-related personal data.

Information exchanged via the Platform’s chat.

Data relating to the purchase of travel insurance.

USER CHOICES
Users may choose not to provide certain types of personal information mentioned above.
However, some features require this data, and their absence may prevent our platform from functioning properly.
Sensitive personal information. Certain sensitive information may be required, especially when making bookings. FLYLOOPING may not be able to complete bookings without this information.
Additionally, some travel preferences or special requests (including to FLYLOOPING’s partners) may be considered "sensitive" under applicable law (e.g., dietary restrictions or disability accommodations).
Lastly, some features may require access via the user’s device (computer, smartphone, etc.) to specific geolocation data, which may be considered sensitive personal information.
PROCESSING OF COLLECTED INFORMATION

Personal information. We may collect information from your interactions with FLYLOOPING such as emails or SMS, and through certain technologies such as cookies and web beacons.

Device information. We may gather data regarding your device (setup, IP address, country of origin, region and language settings, and server details).

Usage and performance data. We also automatically collect personal data related to the use of the FLYLOOPING platform. This includes browsing data: searches, travel itinerary statistics, interaction with platform features, links clicked, and preferences.

Location data. We collect approximate location data (such as your city) or, with prior consent, precise location data when the app is active or not (depending on the user’s settings).
FLYLOOPING does not control your device’s settings but recommends enabling location services to benefit from the most useful features.
USE OF THIS INFORMATION
This data helps us understand user preferences and interests in order to deliver personalized services and tailor the advertising we present.

Personal data received from third parties. We may also receive certain categories of personal information from third parties, such as websites, apps, and social networks, including from people who have shared their travel itineraries with the user.

Browsing, purchase, usage, and advertising details. This includes data related to restaurants, travel accommodations, and bookings. For example, if a user books a flight, we may use that information to recommend hotels, other accommodations, or complementary services.

Operating and improving our services and developing new products and services, including using analytics tools to better understand how the platform is used, for product, website, and feature development to enhance user experience.

Tailored experience, for instance, by combining different pieces of collected data to provide better search results or personalized targeting based on preferences or restrictions. For example, if a user frequently books two-star hotels in Prague, we may prioritize that location and hotel category in search results or suggest trips featuring previously booked accommodations.
APPLE PAY PAYMENTS
When purchasing flight tickets in our FLYLOOPING app, you may choose Apple Pay as a secure payment method. Here's how we handle your payment data:

Apple Pay transactions are processed by our payment provider Stripe.

FLYLOOPING does not store, host, or transmit your card data in plain text (card number, expiration date, CVV).

During an Apple Pay payment, only the minimum information required for the transaction is collected:

Transaction ID generated by Stripe

Total amount and currency of the transaction

Purchase description (itinerary, airline)

No sensitive data (card number, CVV) is accessible by our app or partner airlines.

Confidentiality and sharing

Payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe via the Apple Pay protocol and is encrypted end-to-end.

No card data is shared with the airlines. They only receive payment confirmation: transaction reference and order status.

Retention and security

Transaction records (ID, amount, date) are stored on Stripe's servers in accordance with their retention policy.

FLYLOOPING retains only transaction references and order status in its database for as long as necessary for customer support and accounting management.

All payment communications are protected via TLS/HTTPS.
